About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer with a passion for building powerful, user-friendly data applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop custom frontend solutions using Slate or standalone React apps integrated with Palantir Foundry. Your work will directly support enterprise users through intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and interactive tools that surface critical insights.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain custom frontend applications using Slate or external React apps integrated with Palantir Foundry.
  • Build interactive dashboards, data visualizations, and forms tailored for business users.
  • Integrate with Foundry Ontology, APIs, and data pipelines to enable insight-rich interfaces.
  • Partner with data engineers and analysts to understand data models, workflows, and end-user needs.
  • Ensure excellent frontend performance, usability, accessibility, and visual design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product functionality and user experience.


Requirements

  • Proven experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in REST APIs and/or GraphQL integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience with D3.js or similar libraries for data visualization.
  • Deep understanding of UI/UX best practices and performance optimization strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data workflows, including permissions and security models.


Nice To Have

  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, particularly Slate apps.
  • Knowledge of Foundry Ontology modeling and pipeline architecture.
  • Prior experience working within high-security environments (e.g., government, healthcare, finance).
  • Familiarity with Slate component libraries and other Palantir internal tools.
