About the Position

Distillery is seeking for a highly skilled Frontend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in frontend development, particularly with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks. This role involves designing and developing user-facing features, optimizing performance, and collaborating closely with designers and other engineers to create seamless user experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain user-facing features with clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure pixel-perfect UI and a smooth, intuitive user experience.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical feedback to team members.
  • Implement best practices in frontend architecture, performance optimization, and automation.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building dynamic and responsive web applications.
  • Expert understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem, specifically around testing frameworks, React, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with Next.js, CMS platforms like Sanity, and eCommerce development.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and implementing responsive designs.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving web application performance, reducing load times, and optimizing rendering.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, Agile environment.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with DataDog, server-side rendered applications, and maintaining monorepos.
  • Experience implementing or contributing to a design system.
  • Passion for automation and adherence to best practices in frontend development.
